BOISE, Idaho –
Western Proper (610 W Idaho St.) will host away game watch parties during the 2023 Boise State football season on behalf of The Horseshoe Collective, the collective and Western Proper announced Tuesday.
All watch parties throughout the Broncos’ 2023 season will begin an hour before kickoff.
“I continue to be blown away by the support from Cary and Melissa at Western Collective and Western Proper,” The Horseshoe Collective Executive Director Joe Nickell said. “Following the successful launch of the first collective beer collaboration in the country, they keep finding ways to support the collective, Bronco student-athletes, the Treasure Valley community and our fanbase. I’m looking forward to bringing Bronco Nation together during the 2023 season.”
The first watch party will be held during the Broncos’ season-opening game at Washington (Saturday, Sept. 2), which opened the season ranked Nos. 10 and 11 in the Associated Press and AFCA Coaches’ Polls, respectively. The Broncos are receiving votes in both polls.
Boise State and Washington are slated to kick at 1:30 p.m. (ABC), and the season-opening watch party is scheduled to begin at 12:30 p.m.
Proceeds from sales during each of the Broncos’ road games will be donated to The Horseshoe Collective, which endeavors to raise awareness for local charitable causes by pairing them with community-minded Boise State student-athletes seeking to use their Name, Image and Likeness to make a positive impact in our community. For every drink sold during Boise State road games, Western Proper will donate $1 to the collective.
“Western Proper was built for gathering with your friends and watching sports, and we’re excited to be able to host watch parties throughout the 2023 season,” owner Cary Prewitt said. “In addition to providing Bronco fans a phenomenal atmosphere for when they’re unable to make the road trip, The Horseshoe Golden Ale will be available for $3 a pint at Western Proper and Western Collective – not just during games, permanently.”
