BOISE, Idaho –

On Saturday, April 8, the Happy Teriyaki location on Broadway Avenue will donate a portion of sales to The Horseshoe Collective, coinciding with the Boise State football team’s Spring Game, owner and general manager Joel Schneider announced, Friday.

Patrons need only mention The Horseshoe Collective at the time of purchase, and Happy Teriyaki will donate 50 percent of sales to the collective.

“Boise State – and Bronco Athletics – are close to my family’s heart,” Schneider said. “Since taking over two Happy Teriyaki locations, we’ve wanted to find a way to give back to our alma mater. This is an avenue that makes a ton of sense in the current collegiate athletics landscape, and the area we think will have the biggest impact.

“As a business owner, and as a long-time collegiate athletics administrator, I know the value of getting involved with the collective, and how we can directly support student-athletes in this new era of Name, Image, and Likeness. I hope businesses throughout the Treasure Valley see this opportunity and follow suit.”

Happy Teriyaki offers made-to-order, fast-casual Chinese food for dine-in or takeout, and its Broadway Avenue location is open from 11 a.m.-9 p.m. Schneider and his wife, Nicole Criner, purchased the Happy Teriyaki locations on Federal Way and Broadway earlier this year.
