BOISE, Idaho –
The Boise State football team’s Summer Softball Classic is returning for the first time since 2019, with this year’s edition hosted by The Horseshoe Collective, the collective and the Boise Hawks announced Monday.
The Summer Softball Classic will be held Wednesday, June 21. Memorial Stadium gates will open at 5 p.m., with the home run derby scheduled for 5:30 p.m. and the Summer Softball Classic slated for 6:30 p.m.
Tickets are $5 for the general admission event, and are on sale now – both online and at the Memorial Stadium Box Office.
All gate revenue generated for the Summer Softball Classic will be distributed to The Horseshoe Collective, which endeavors to raise awareness for local charitable causes by pairing them with community-minded Boise State student-athletes who wish to use their Name, Image and Likeness to make a positive impact in the Treasure Valley community.
“We’re excited to work with The Horseshoe Collective and Boise State student-athletes on bringing back a great Memorial Stadium tradition,” Boise Hawks Vice President and General Manager Mike Van Hise said. “We hope Bronco fans and Hawks fans alike will come out and support this great event.”
Concessions will be available, and an autograph session will be held with football student-athletes on the field following the game.
“The Summer Softball Classic was always a phenomenal event, serving as a great touch point for the Boise State football program with our community,” Nickell said. “I am incredibly appreciative of Mike Van Hise and the Boise Hawks for helping to bring this back, and we’re excited to bring Bronco Nation down to Memorial Stadium on June 21.”
